Ricci commenced teaching in Sydney during a forty-year career spent overseas performing gigs. Her book, I Can Sing But Where Is My Voice, eventuated from her
vast experience of performing, writing recording her own songs, her NZBC radio concerts of jazz standards, and television appearances.
Lessons can vary in time depending on age. 30minute -1 hour.
Assessment is pivotal - In the first lesson you will need to bring two songs to sing and we go from there regarding your wishes and desires. I teach from ages 7-70 Anyone who has a song in their heart and wishes to perform it well.
Ricci has had significant experience as both a vocal performer and educator. I Can Sing, But Where is My Voice? is a clear reflec- tion of this. Not only does this book contain a wide range of very practical, measurable exercises and strategies to help the student to improve the quality of their singing but it also addresses the singer as a whole person.
The voice is a unique instrument in that it exists within the body of the performer. Ricci is obviously acutely aware of this and has explored many ways of improving a person’s well-being which then has a positive impact on their ability to realize their potential as a vocalist.
I am confident that this thought-provoking book will be a valuable resource for singers regardless of their level of experience.

‘Passion’ and ‘hard work’ come to mind when reading I Can Sing, But Where is My Voice? Ricci has voiced (sic) her thoughts, knowledge and practical experience in an informative way, not only on singing and the voice, but on a number of issues associated with voice projection and what is expected of a quality vocalist. There is plenty of useful information in this book for every aspiring singer.
