About James
Ex solo English Channel Swimmer (completed in 12hr 21minutes, October 12th 2017), national swimmer (surf lifesaving) and club swimmer. Keen open water swimmer (Cherry Beach and Woodbine in Toronto) and pool swimmer. Working as a Project Manager/Lead/Project Engineer. Holder of an undergraduate and master's degree from Camborne School of Mines (University of Exeter), with specialization in Engineering, Geotechnics, Surveying and Management. Born in England and regular attendee to other countries for business to understand different cultures and working environments. Currently based in Canada.

Ex solo English Channel Swimmer (completed in 12hr 21minutes, October 12th 2017), national swimmer (surf lifesaving) and club swimmer. Keen open water swimmer (Cherry Beach and Woodbine in Toronto) and pool swimmer. Ex pool and beach lifeguard (working professionally on the beaches in England) and surfer. Previous experience at a disabled swimming club (2 years) focusing on coaching and fitness.
Lessons will cover comfort in the water (immersion and floating), technique (all strokes), endurance and fitness.
Depending on ability and progression, the sessions can be tailored to suit.
Open water (in the lakes) or pool sessions are available. I am also available to do casual training with individuals who are looking for company/ motivation.
Virtual sessions are available to run through technique and training plans. This includes motivational talks on the Channel swim!
