About Aashna

I am currently studying for my Master's in Management at Imperial College London. I previously studied a BSc in Psychology at University College London, achieving a First Class Honours.

I have always been highly academic, having achieved 3 A*'s at A level (Biology, Psychology and Mathematics). I was even awarded the highest mark in the world at Pearson A-Level Biology.

I am eager to pass on the tips and tricks I have learned throughout my academic journey.

About the lesson

As a seasoned peer mentor and tutor with experience working with a diverse range of students, I have developed a nuanced approach to tutoring that prioritises fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. My methodology centres on empowering students to develop the foundational understanding required to tackle complex tasks and academic challenges with confidence and ease. I believe in guiding students without intimidating them, and I always endeavour to create an inclusive and collaborative learning atmosphere that encourages open communication and the free exchange of ideas.

To achieve this, I take the time to get to know each student individually, listening carefully to their specific concerns and challenges. By prioritising their unique needs and tailoring my approach accordingly, I can create a personalised learning experience that is both engaging and effective. Moreover, I recognise the importance of building a rapport with my students and actively work to establish a trusting relationship founded on mutual respect and understanding.

In addition to providing guidance and support, I encourage students to take ownership of their learning and to engage in critical thinking and problem-solving. By equipping them with the tools and strategies required to succeed, I aim to foster independent learners who are capable of anything.

The typical length of a lesson will be 1-2hrs, depending on the goals of the student. I teach GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, Biology, and Psychology.
