About Ellen
Hello!
My name is Ellen and I am a private tutor for Maths and Mandarin Chinese.
Maths:
I offer maths tuition from KS3 level up to GCSE and IGCSE across all exam boards in England. I am specialised in the new GCSE specification and use real exam questions when practising with my students.
*FREE INITIAL ASSESSMENT ONLINE BEFORE THE TUITION.
I always offer a one-hour free initial assessment for maths before the tuition so that you can have a better understanding of me and together we can find out the ways to reach your targeting grades.
Exam board includes: Edexcel, AQA, CIE, OCR, City & Guilds
Level: Both foundation and higher tier
Mandarin:
As a native speaker in Mandarin, I am very flexible in the way of teaching. I offer tuition from primary level to adult learning.
Understanding the importance of creativity in second-language education, I always prepare my lesson plan based on the hobbies and interests of my students. Doesn`t matter if you are interested in unicorns, superheroes or the Chinese economy, we can always find something to talk about.
My lesson is culturally orientated. This means that not only I will teach my students the use of the language but also the relevant culture, traditions and even the calligraphy. This will allow my students to gain a holistic understanding of China.
If you are looking for completing a qualification in Mandarin, I am more than happy to offer you my support. The range of qualification I have been working with includes:
HSK Level 1-6, Edexcel, AQA, IB, Business Chinese
Students can message me anytime even outside the lesson if they have any question.
