About Yijing

Hello, I’m Yijing from Lanzhou, China—an important stop on the ancient Silk Road, rich in cultural heritage. As a Chinese teacher, I am deeply passionate about teaching. I also love reading, exploring Chinese historical stories, beautiful classical poetry, historical figures, the evolution of Chinese characters, and traditional Chinese clothing. Therefore, I can not only make learning Chinese interesting for you but also integrate culture into teaching, guiding you to explore the mysterious and fascinating world of Chinese culture.

Professional Background: I graduated from the School of International Business and Trade at Chongqing Normal University with a bachelor's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, and hold a CET-4 certificate and a Mandarin Proficiency Certificate Level 2 Grade A. This has given me a solid foundation in both linguistics and education.

Rich Teaching Experience: During my university years, I took part in a school-organized part-time program, offering one-on-one offline Chinese lessons to foreign instructors. I also assisted fellow students in passing the Mandarin proficiency test. Over the past two years, I have delivered more than 500 hours of lessons across various platforms and institutions, and have actively participated in both offline and online learning seminars. These experiences have deeply enriched my teaching practice.

About the lesson

Integrating Culture into Teaching: My classes are never boring. Instead, I use interactive games, role-playing, cultural activities, and more to spark your interest in learning. I also weave traditional culture into lessons, offering you an immersive experience of Chinese culture. For example, when learning the character for "tea" (茶), we might simulate the ritual of brewing Gongfu tea, making language learning more than just memorization.

Wide Teaching Coverage: Whether you’re a complete beginner or an intermediate learner looking to improve, I can design professional and engaging lessons tailored to your needs. I specialize in rapid listening and speaking improvement, HSK 1–6 exam preparation, and fun children’s classes.

Gamified and Scenario-Based Design: For both children and adults, my lessons incorporate game challenges and real-life scenarios. For children, I use activities like "Chinese character adventures" and teacher-student competitions to make learning playful. For adults, I design role-playing exercises, debates on social topics, and other realistic situations to help you master the language naturally—no more dull memorization.

Precise Needs-Based Customization: Before your first class, we’ll have an in-depth needs analysis. During the course, I’ll adjust the focus based on your progress. Whether it’s language introduction for children, spoken Chinese improvement for adults, or systematic HSK preparation, you won’t receive a standard lesson plan—instead, you’ll get a personalized program centered around you and your goals.
