Gabriel is the most versatile and most highly skilled percussionist I’ve ever played with, and, in my 45+ years of being a professional musician, that’s a lot of percussionists! Gabriel is hard-working, dedicated, and a great person to collaborate with as a colleague. He is well-versed in many styles of percussion and is very articulate when it comes to discussing any of them. He goes well beyond merely discussing various styles, he can actually play them, and is very adept at learning new styles that he hasn’t yet had the chance to learn. I am a percussion student of Gabriel's. We work on a myriad of instruments, though I especially love marimba, xylophone, and vibraphone. Weekly lessons are fun, engaging, and consistent. Gabriel is a wonderful teacher and clear communicator.

Gabriel is also well-versed in audition prep, from the realistic minute-by-minute descriptions of what I should expect, to mock performances that help me feel fully ready for the audition.
