About Gurpreet
I am a Manitoba Certified Teacher currently working as a Substitute Teacher in Winnipeg, with a strong educational background in Mathematics and Science.
I hold a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Science and have experience teaching and tutoring students with different learning needs and abilities.
I specialize in supporting elementary and middle years students in Mathematics and Science and can also help students with Algebra, Trigonometry, and Physics. I am patient, encouraging, and focused on making difficult concepts easier to understand.
As a teacher, I understand that every student learns differently. I create a positive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence.

My lessons are personalized according to each student's grade level, learning needs, and goals.
I begin by identifying the areas where the student needs support. I then explain concepts step by step using simple language, examples, visuals, and guided practice.
For Mathematics, I focus on helping students understand why a method works rather than simply memorizing steps. Depending on the student's needs, lessons may include foundational math skills, fractions, decimals, problem-solving, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
For Science and Physics, I connect concepts to practical, everyday examples to make learning easier to understand and remember.
Students receive opportunities to practise independently while I provide guidance and feedback. My goal is to help every student improve their understanding, develop problem-solving skills, and become a more confident and independent learner.
