About Emma
Emma holds Bachelor of Music (B.M.) and
Master of Music (M.M.) in Piano Performance from the Mannes School of Music in New York. And also earned Music and Music Education (Ed.M) from Columbia University.
During those years, she taught students ranging from beginner to advanced levels, served as an assistant to her teacher, and worked as a piano instructor at Columbia University and George Mason University.
Born and raised in China, Emma developed a love for literature and writing alongside her passion for music from a young age. As a dynamic and dedicated musician with years of performing and teaching experience. She is a four-time first-prize winner of the Elite International Competition and has garnered accolades in several other prestigious international competitions. She has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician across the
U.S., China, Switzerland, and Italy. And she performed in Carnegie Recital Hall, Merkin
Hall, Ariosto Suffreni Hall, Stifle Hall, Milbank, etc. Emma has had the privilege of studying with remarkable musicians such as Anna Balakerskaia, Yuri Kim, Vladimir Feltsman, Oxana Yablonskaya, Victor Rosenbaum, Blair McMilen, Vladimir Valjarevic, Andrew Ivanovitch, Huaiyu Feng… who have profoundly influenced her musical perspective and life philosophy.
These enriching experiences have played a crucial role in enhancing Emma’s willingness to be a responsible and inspiring musician and educator, As she always believes, music is real, and is a universal language that can bring happiness to people and illuminate their own path forward.
