About the lesson

Holder of a baccalaureate + 5 in Education Sciences, I was a teacher for 4 years in a private school out of contract for children intellectually precocious, then I headed to the Montessori pedagogy. I am currently a teacher in a Montessori school in a 6-12 years atmosphere. Certain that every child is unique, I have the heart to reveal the potential of each, transmitting the taste and value of learning. If I had to summarize my vision of pedagogy, I would rely on the words of Maria Montessori: "The child is not a source that is filled, but a source that is allowed to spring". The methodology that I put in place rests on three points: 1) MOTIVATION: students are sometimes discouraged by their notes or the comments of their teachers. My first goal is to give them a taste for learning and to prove to them that they are capable of everything. 2) AUTONOMY: This is where I orient my students because it is not because they become dependent on their teacher, but because they have the resources and the confidence to stand on their own. 3) BENEVANCE: towards themselves. A pupil often depreciates because he is not doing well enough, not as fast as the others ... By learning to be kind to themselves, students accept their specificity and their rhythm. They apprehend their operation and understand that he is unique, like them. My strengths: - SENSE OF PSYCHOLOGY - ACCEPTANCE OF THE CHILD. Each child is a unique being, and can not be put in the same "mold" as another. - RIGOR. "An iron hand in a velvet glove ..." - SOFTNESS. I always speak in a low voice, a child has never learned his lesson better by screaming in his ears ... - PATIENCE. It is often necessary to do things many times to master well, and that's fine. And above all: PASSION & VOCATION, for my job as a teacher, for each student with whom the link is unique and privileged. Each session begins with a time of exchange with the child. It is a privileged and indispensable moment, it allows the child to confide, to tell his week and allows me to adapt my session. It is also a time when the child can be led to confide on difficulties encountered and which would hinder his learning. I have always set up this exchange time to create a bond of trust and this has always been very beneficial for the progress of the student. The first session, free and without commitment: - Making contact with the student and his family. - Presentation of the child by his family: his educational background, his specific needs. - Possible questions from the family. - Special interview with the child. - Definition of a regular niche on the school year.
