About Brian

I take a lot of pride in the work I’ve done in manufacturing and quality, and I believe the trades deserve more respect than they usually get. In a world where everyone wants to be an influencer, it’s easy to forget that nothing works without the people who build, weld, measure, fabricate, and inspect the things society depends on. I’m tutoring because I want to help the next generation of tradespeople build real skills and real confidence — not just because I can teach it, but because it matters.
My experience comes from hands-on work in fabrication, inspection, welding theory, blueprint reading, measurement tools, tolerances, and ISO-based quality systems. I’ve trained new hires and apprentices, solved real shop-floor problems, and learned how to explain technical concepts in a way that actually makes sense. Students can trust that what I teach is practical, accurate, and grounded in real-world experience.
Professionalism is important to me. I show up prepared, on time, and focused on the student’s goals. I create a supportive environment where questions are encouraged and learning happens at a comfortable pace. Whether someone is brand new to manufacturing or sharpening specific skills, my goal is always the same: help them understand the “why,” build confidence, and walk away with knowledge they can use immediately.

My approach is simple: I teach real-world manufacturing and fabrication skills the way they’re actually used on the job. No jargon, no overcomplicated theory, just clear explanations from someone who’s been there. I break technical concepts down into plain language and show students how to apply them in fabrication, welding, inspection, or entry-level engineering roles.
Teaching Method & Techniques
- I start with what the student already knows and build from there
- I use real examples from prints, shop math, and measurement tools
- I explain why something matters, not just how to do it
- I teach the “shop shortcuts” and practical tricks you don’t get from textbooks
- I adjust the pace to the student
- I focus on confidence first, precision second
A Typical Lesson Plan
- Quick check-in on what the student wants to learn that day
- A simple explanation of the topic (prints, math, welding theory, etc.)
- Real-world examples and step-by-step breakdowns
- Practice problems or scenarios based on actual shop situations
- Review + “here’s how you’ll use this on the job tomorrow”
Every lesson ends with something the student can immediately apply.
What Sets Me Apart
- I’ve actually worked in manufacturing and quality — I’m not teaching from a textbook
- I explain things the way real tradespeople talk, not like a professor
- I make technical topics approachable, even fun
- I’ve trained new hires and apprentices, so I know where beginners get stuck
- I focus on practical skills that help people become confident on the shop floor
Who My Lessons Are For
- Beginners entering manufacturing, welding, fabrication, or inspection
- Apprentices who want extra help with prints, math, or measurement
- Workers preparing for a new role or promotion
- Students in technical programs who want real-world explanations
- Anyone who wants to understand prints, tolerances, tools, welding theory, press brake math, or pipefitting calculations
My lessons are built for real people learning real skills — not academic theory.
