About Tommy
I grew up on the Sunshine Coast, QLD, surrounded by the ocean and incredible natural landscapes. From a young age, I was fascinated by nature, the earth, and how everything is connected, which led me to explore science and, eventually, marine biology. As a surfer, I spent countless hours in the ocean, deepening my appreciation for marine ecosystems and inspiring me to learn more about how the natural world works and how we can protect it. This passion drove me to move to Melbourne to study Marine Biology at the University of Melbourne, where I developed a strong foundation in earth sciences, ocean conservation, and biological processes. Beyond my scientific background, I love helping others learn and grow. Seeing students gain confidence and thrive is incredibly rewarding for me, and I strive to make learning engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. Whether you’re looking for help with coursework, exam preparation, or just a better understanding of science, I’m here to help you feel comfortable and succeed!

I am a Marine Biology graduate from the University of Melbourne with a passion for making science engaging and accessible. My tutoring approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable ideas while encouraging curiosity and critical thinking. I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs, helping them build confidence and a strong understanding of scientific principles.
My lessons are typically one hour long and balance theory with interactive problem-solving. I use real-world examples, visual aids, and guided discussions to help students connect science to everyday life. With experience in ocean conservation and biology education, I bring practical insights that make learning more meaningful.
I offer online tutoring for students of all levels up to undergraduate, whether they need help with coursework, exam preparation, or a deeper understanding of scientific concepts. My lessons are ideal for high school and university students looking for supportive, engaging, and results-driven science tutoring.
