About Brandon
I’ve been teaching martial arts for over 24 years, working with students of all ages—from kids to adults. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to train and instruct a wide range of individuals, including police officers, military personnel, and everyday civilians. I’ve also had the privilege of learning from and teaching alongside many world-renowned martial artists such as Remy Presas Jr., GM Lim Hyun-Soo, Bobby Taboada, GM Ron England, and others.

My training lineage connects me to some of the most iconic figures in martial arts history, including Sokaku Takeda, Choi Yong Sul, General Choi Hong Hi, Remy Presas Sr., Danny Inosanto, Toshishiro Obata, Royce Gracie, GM Braulio Pedoy, and even Rocky Marciano. Outside of martial arts, I serve full-time in law enforcement. That experience strongly influences my approach to teaching—I focus on what works under real pressure and ensure everything is grounded in legal, ethical, and practical application.
My teaching philosophy is built on proven principles, real-world effectiveness, and a strong commitment to safety, structure, and professionalism. I aim to provide every student with practical skills, true confidence, and a deeper understanding of martial arts.

My classes focus on Seiyo-ryu Aikibujutsu—a system based on traditional Japanese Aikijujutsu, built for real-world self-defense. I teach practical techniques like joint locks, throws, striking, grappling, and weapons, all grounded in biomechanics and real-world application. My approach is principle-based, not choreography. Students learn why techniques work and how to adapt them under pressure. Lessons include: Warm-up & movement drills Technical instruction Partner application Scenario-based training Optional Q&A and conditioning With over 24 years of experience and black belts or equivalents in 10+ systems, I focus on what works and cut out what doesn’t. Classes are for adults, teens and kids (8+), from beginners to experienced martial artists, law enforcement, or anyone serious about self-defense. ONLINE CLASSES REQUIRE A PARTNER
