About Guy
What sets my math teaching and tutoring style apart from others is my ability to connect with the student by building genuine relationships. Students don’t care about what you know, until they know that you care. In addition, I teach the concepts behind the math formulas. Students learn math better, when they understand the math concepts’/ ideas, in addition to memorizing formulas and steps for solving.

I’m a Maryland state licensed and certified secondary (high school) math teacher, able to teach and tutor algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus.
I have been teaching high school math students for 30 years.
A typical math tutoring session will include homework completion. I also provide practice problems related to the current math topic the student is learning. These practice problems are provided during the actual math tutoring sessions, and for math tutoring homework practice.
