Mason has been playing soccer his entire life- at the Rec level, Club level, and Varsity high school level, and now Intramural level in college. He is passionate about soccer and now enjoys teaching the sport to the next generation. Coaches have always told Mason how soccer smart he is and how he has an acute ability to read the field and anticipate the next play. Mason is great with kids and will be a great motivator, coaching with positive reinforcement while instilling a love for the sport. Mason has been playing soccer since he was three years old. He played on very high level club teams for much of his career. Coaches praised him for his technical skills and soccer IQ (being tall and fast helps too). It is these technical and mental skills that he is able to demonstrate, teach and help young students develop. He has had coaches of many different styles over the years and learned what works and what doesn’t when it comes to teaching, motivating and inspiring young players. He has been teaching and training younger players for several years and always receives positive feedback. He teaches and positively encourages to instill the love of the game in his students so that they will want to practice and put in the work to develop on their own based on the tools Coach Mason provides.

Mason’s background in soccer makes him an incredible role model for students and someone families can immediately trust. As a soccer player, he understands discipline, teamwork, and accountability — three qualities that directly translate into how he mentors and supports young students. The consistency it takes to show up to practice, communicate with teammates, and perform under pressure reflects the same reliability he brings when working with kids.

On the field, Mason learned how to lead by example, encourage others, and stay calm in high-energy situations. That ability to remain composed and positive helps students feel safe, supported, and confident around him. Whether helping with homework, teaching a new skill, or simply being a steady presence, he models perseverance and a growth mindset — reminding students that improvement comes from effort and resilience.

Most importantly, soccer has taught Mason the value of trust. Just like teammates rely on one another during a game, students can rely on him to be dependable, patient, and encouraging. He creates an environment where kids feel motivated to try their best, take healthy risks, and believe in themselves — both on and off the field.
