About the lesson

I’m a Maths tutor with over 7 years of experience and an MSc in Computational Mathematics. My passion lies in making advanced math approachable and meaningful, especially for non-STEM majors. I believe math shouldn’t be just about heavy computations or memorizing formulas. Instead, I focus on helping students grasp the core concepts and see how these ideas connect to the world around them.

I use everyday analogies and historical stories to bring abstract theories to life. This approach helps students understand not only the “how” but also the “why” behind mathematical principles. Many of my students come from liberal arts and humanities backgrounds, or they’ve struggled with math anxiety in the past. I work closely with each learner to create a supportive space where questions are encouraged and math feels less intimidating.

My goal is to demystify math by highlighting the big ideas that underlie complex topics. Together, we explore concepts at a comfortable pace, building a strong foundation that lasts. I want every student to see math not as a barrier, but as a fascinating lens through which to view the world. By connecting math to familiar experiences, I help students develop confidence and curiosity.
