About Phyllis
Your first meeting is always a diagnostic skills check before building the lesson plan. I have taught 220 students to master complex strumming patterns and rhythm guitar. We spend time evaluating your current facility with scales and modes. Intermediate learners often struggle with electric technique or lead guitar nuances.
I explain these concepts using simple terms to ensure your progress remains smooth. My experience allows me to identify exactly where your technique needs adjustment. I genuinely enjoy watching the music click into place for you.

I completed a Master of Arts in Music Education at McGill and hold a CELTA. Working with returning learners and working professionals is a constant pleasure.
Music serves as the anchor for all the lessons I provide. I have taught 220 students to find their voice on the fretboard.
