About Mack

I hold a teaching license in multiple states for ESL, ELA and Educational Technology Integration. I also hold a Master of Arts in Teaching and Masters Certification in ESL. FInally, I am also working in a Doctoral Degree for Education. I teach middle school, high school, college level and adults.

I have a 10 year career in marketing and business management, and 10 years as an educator and seek to utilize my skills and experience for an opportunity to build strong relationships with the students, staff and the community through the application of rigor, relevance, respect and social responsibility. Cultivating trusting relationships and building enthusiastic communities, while creating an environment that is safe, happy, and demands high expectations strengthens my passion for creating impactful interactions with students. Along with teaching, I have spent the last 10 years contributing to the community through serving, mentoring, tutoring and athletic coaching. In addition, I spent 2020-2021 founding and building a community-based nonprofit. I am ready and willing to relocate and explore new opportunities.

About the lesson

Driven by the urgency to empower people and to inspire students to shape the world in which they live, I strive to create a safe,
culturally-responsive classroom to facilitate energized and focused lessons in a positive, productive and student-driven learning environment. I implement a social justice pedagogy to promote social responsibility, generated by a student-centered curriculum that emphasizes collaboration and cooperative scholarship as well as critical thinking which allows students to develop essential transferable skills, knowledge, and understandings that empower students speak, read and write English with real-world applications and real life situations.

I encourage students to perform at personal-best levels academically and personally. I promote proficiency/project-based and blended learning methodologies enhanced by technology integration that transcend traditional classroom learning through online, mobile and digital platforms that create relevance by meeting students where they are at and cultivating 21st-century skills.
