About Ilisha
With over 4 years of experience as a Biology tutor and a MSc in Biotechnology, I’ve dedicated my career to uncovering the wonders of life beneath the surface. My greatest passion lies in marine biology, especially the mysterious and extreme environments of the deep sea. From hydrothermal vents to pitch-black abyssal plains, I’m endlessly fascinated by how life thrives where we least expect it. I’ve spent years studying the incredible adaptations of deep-sea organisms—bioluminescent creatures, pressure-resistant microbes, and heat-loving species that defy our understanding of survival. My teaching weaves these phenomena into broader concepts of biodiversity, physiology, and ecological balance. I guide students through the complex systems that exist far below the waves, making advanced biological processes feel accessible and awe-inspiring. Together, we explore the science behind ocean exploration—its technologies, challenges, and discoveries. I encourage curiosity and critical thinking in every session. My approach blends storytelling with science, making each lesson both educational and engaging. I specialize in topics such as molecular biology, cell structure and function, genetics, biochemistry, and cellular processes like transcription, translation, and cell signaling. Students learning about pharmacology or spectroscopy will also find solid support, especially those in pharmacist-in-training programs. I simplify dense topics, making them accessible and engaging. I guide learners through critical thinking exercises and step-by-step problem solving, so they can connect ideas, not just memorize them. My sessions often include case studies, research-based examples, and real-life applications to keep the material relevant. Every question is welcomed and explored deeply. My students receive dedicated, ongoing support—through exam preparation, assignment help, or just staying motivated in challenging subjects. The goal is to build confidence and deepen understanding.
