About Sandra
I am a dedicated computer programming tutor with 6 years of experience helping students understand coding and computer science with clarity and confidence. I work with learners from K-12 through the first year of college, supporting both beginners and students who want to strengthen their existing programming knowledge.
My teaching covers a variety of programming concepts, including Python, Java, C++, programming fundamentals, algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, debugging, and logical problem-solving. I can also assist students with homework, academic projects, coursework, coding exercises, and exam preparation.

My programming lessons are designed to make computer science simple, practical, and enjoyable for students from K-12 through the first year of college. I focus on building a strong foundation in programming concepts while helping students develop confidence in solving problems independently.
Depending on the student’s level and goals, lessons can cover programming fundamentals, variables, data types, conditions, loops, functions, arrays, object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, debugging, and computational thinking. I can also support students with school assignments, projects, exam preparation, and introductory college-level coursework.
I believe students learn programming best when they understand the reasoning behind the code rather than simply memorizing syntax. During lessons, I explain concepts step by step, demonstrate examples, and provide exercises that encourage students to think logically and apply what they have learned.
My teaching approach is adaptable to each learner’s pace, prior experience, and learning style. Whether you are completely new to coding or looking to strengthen your existing skills, I aim to create a supportive environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes become valuable learning opportunities.
