About Victoria

I'm Victoria Thorrud, a dancer, choreographer, and dance and movement therapist. My journey has taken me across several countries, from Norway to France, Hungary, and Germany. Movement became my primary language early on. When I moved to another country without speaking the language, I began to observe bodies, decode nonverbal communication, and understand how our gestures convey what words cannot always express.

This is how my passion for dance and mental health was born. I understood that the body is a direct reflection of the mind, and that by working on it, we can transform our emotions, soothe our suffering, and better align ourselves with ourselves.

Inspired by existential philosophy, my work explores profound themes such as rites of passage, transformation, and how we face death—not as an end, but as a transition. For me, dance and movement are powerful tools for connection, resilience, and healing.

My approach combines the artistic and the therapeutic, creating a space where everyone can explore, question and evolve at their own pace.

About the lesson

Hello, I'm Victoria Thorrud, a dancer, choreographer, and therapist with a Master's degree in Dance and Movement Therapy and a State Diploma in Jazz Dance. With a Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts and experience in contemporary dance with various companies, I offer my passion and expertise to help you explore the potential of dance as a therapeutic tool.

Dance is much more than an artistic discipline; it's a true path to self-exploration. Through my sessions, I invite you to reconnect with your body, improve your mental and emotional well-being, and find serenity while having fun.

I suggest you:

Follow-up sessions: for personalized support adapted to your needs and at your pace.

Thematic workshops: in groups or individually, to address topics such as stress management, expressing emotions, body-mind alignment, and much more.

Dance and movement therapy sessions: whether you are a beginner or experienced, my approach is accessible and caring, aiming to guide you through movement for better physical and mental well-being.
