About Jeffrey
I have a Master's degree in Classical Guitar Pedagogy under Carlo Pezzimenti at Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX. I have an Undergraduate degree with an emphasis in Jazz Studies at the University of North Texas, in Denton. Before studying through Carlo Pezzimenti for my graduate degree (Carlo took from Andres Segovia), I studied with greats at UNT such as Fred Hamilton and Joe Lee. As well, I studied with Clint Strong of Arlington, TX, a phenomenal Texas guitarist. I have taught in many outlets both private and group lessons Community College, Retail lessons, after school group classes, Community Rec Center Classes, as well as, online lessons. I teach all styles including Classical, Rock, Pop, Blues, Jazz, and Country. I really have a great understanding of the electric guitar and did before studying Classical. Yet, I know both styles and can help on just about any guitar song or style you want to learn.

My lessons are centered around what that particular student needs. Every student is on a very personalized specific lesson for them and it is no different in my own practice. My goals that keep lessons fun, are finding where the student's current level is and improving it, yet, in a way that is fun, so they have fun while learning. Yes, you have to learn to do some things, for example, a classical player will want to learn to read music, an electric blues player may work on playing along to solos, an acoustic player might practice strumming songs. A beginner may want to play his or her favorite song, and soon. So it is mainly about setting a goal and doing a little bit of work steadfastly, to keep achieving progress. And before you know it you are playing and enjoying the " trying" of learning. I generally like to work and play the music in the lessons and make sure you are totally prepared to keep working on something that we went over in the lesson, most important is that you enjoy what you are doing and learning.
