About Snowdrop

Welcome to Snowdrop Studio! I’m Snowdrop, a traditional Artist, Digital Illustrator, and Qualified Art Teacher, and I’m here to help you take your art to the next level. Whether you’re looking to improve your drawing skills or gain a new form of expressing yourself, I offer the guidance and support you need to advance your artistic journey.
With a strong foundation in traditional drawing and painting, my focus is on portraiture and figurative work, but I also teach the skills necessary to draw anything. Learn to transfer these techniques into the world of digital art, if you wish. Gaining endless possibilities for your creative career.
In my personal work, I’m both a skilled technical drawer and an expressive artist with a niche for oil painting. I also create vibrant, surreal digital illustrations using Procreate on the iPad. I sell my Art on commission, whilst also teaching professional life drawing in London-based workshops and independently for the past 5 years now. Now, I focus on private art teaching, which allows me to offer personalised, one-on-one instruction and gives my students the time and attention they need to truly thrive. About the lesson

My teaching is centred around the individual, fostering critical thinking and self-expression through dialogue and diverse references. I focus on building confidence by developing practical and technical skills while maintaining a positive and supportive atmosphere. With over 10 years of experience mentoring students in painting, drawing and creative thinking, I also provide guidance on digital art on Procreate for iPad, portfolio preparation, personal statements, project proposals, and academic writing. My sessions are tailored for all levels, from beginners to advanced artists, and I run workshops from my home in Battersea. I help students develop art portfolios for university applications (BA, MA, GCSE, A-Level, IB), as well as improve their technical abilities, creative thinking, and project management skills. I also support international students, understanding the challenges they may face studying in the UK.
