About Owen
My teaching methodology in Economics is built on strong communication, patience, and adapting to different learning styles. I believe that every student learns in their own way, and my goal is to make Economics clear, interesting, and easy to understand. I focus on explaining complex ideas in simple terms, using real-world examples and case studies to help students relate theory to practical situations. By keeping the lessons interactive, I ensure students stay engaged and develop a genuine interest in the subject. I take the time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and goals. Whether it’s revisiting basic concepts or tackling advanced theories, I move at the student’s pace and provide constant guidance and encouragement. I also use visual aids, discussions, and problem-solving exercises to strengthen understanding and make learning more effective and enjoyable. Apart from Economics, I can also teach related subjects such as Business Studies and Finance, helping students gain a well-rounded understanding of how economic principles apply across fields. My aim is to build both conceptual clarity and confidence, ensuring students are not only prepared for exams and assignments but also develop critical thinking skills that will benefit them in their academic and professional journeys.

I am a passionate and dedicated Economics tutor with 3 years of experience teaching high school and college students. Over the years, I have taught around 150 students, helping them strengthen their understanding of Micro and Macro Economics. My goal is to make Economics more engaging and relatable by connecting classroom concepts to real-world examples and current events. I believe learning becomes more meaningful when students can see how theory applies to daily life.
I focus on making complex topics simple and clear, encouraging students to ask questions and think critically. Seeing my students overcome challenges, improve their grades, and gain confidence in their abilities is one of my biggest achievements as a tutor.
Throughout my tutoring journey, I have celebrated many milestones, including helping students score top marks in exams and develop a genuine interest in the subject. My approach is patient, adaptable, and focused on each student’s learning needs. I aim not only to prepare students for tests but also to inspire them to think like economists and understand the world through an analytical lens.
