About Felix

With an everlasting thirst to learn, engage, and write about the human experience, I have been fortunate enough to pursue these ideas in the form of photography.

We identify the photographic medium as the 'realistic' picture of the world. We see the image as a physical capture of something true, like a memory we placed on the fridge.

What makes the image a special kind of object? How can I capture the moment I am thinking about, or even the dream I had?

I can provide you with photographic techniques, creative skills, understanding 'how' and 'when' to edit the photograph, and most importantly, how to exercise critical thinking and concept.

Other than photographic techniques and understanding, my interests are:
- Critical thinking and philosophy
- Writing techniques and academic skills
- Applying creative knowledge to all mediums of art
- Engaging with your level/understanding of the field

Although the length of a lesson is not restricted, I would typically give between an hour and a half/two hours of teaching.

If you wish to improve your conceptual thinking, creative skills, image-making techniques, or find your academic 'voice', I would be delighted to assist such needs.

Questions are more than welcome.

Depending on the subject/ technique you have chosen to work on, whether it is theatrical drone photography out in an open park, or a one-on-one Zoom call about functional speaking skills (academic, presentation, etc.), I welcome all forms of learning/teaching.

Although I am more than happy to teach virtually from screen to screen, my greatest work happens side by side with a client, where I can offer those important details both simply and physically.

A typical lesson might start:
- with you and I critiquing past or current photography (or writing).
- with you breaking down your intentions for image-making and/ or a concept.
- with me offering advice on how to 'shoot' (photograph) a certain perspective, object, and so on.
- with you and I assessing images and/ or writing that you may have completed.
- with you and I having a coffee and breaking the ice...

What I can supply:
- If you want to learn drone photography, I can offer you the lesson and the drone.
- If you want to learn some writing/speaking techniques, I can supply the home.
- If you want to learn narrative/tableaux (advanced) photographic methods, we can discuss locations and concepts before practicing.

I am a huge advocate for teaching/learning with variety, like going over an idea at a cafe and then implementing it at a chosen location, or photographing it in the street. If you want to learn tableaux photography, we can discuss our approach at the beginning.

Whether you want to learn photography, writing and speaking techniques, creative learning methods, or direction of a concept; I am open to all walks of life (and teaching!).

Reach out to see whether I can offer what you might be looking for...
