About Jade
I have been teaching for over 15 years and started tutoring when I was a freshman in undergrad. Once I received my degree and teaching license, I realized that traditional classroom teaching didn't align with how I wanted to teach. Those experiences allowed me to develop my teaching philosophy which helps me connect with my learners on their level. Meeting learners where they are at is my biggest goal.

Learning the basic foundations for writing is the key to developing strong writing skills. While I will provide prompts as needed, the objective is to get you writing, so you will be able to choose your topics. I will then guide you through the process of brainstorming, outing, drafting, and revising. I believe in a student-led, teacher-facilitated education and work with writers ages 8-18 that need to learn the basics and those that need to refine their current writing abilities.
