About Maximilian
Hi, I’m Maximilian! I grew up in San Francisco in a multilingual household, having spoken Russian as a first language, and attended a French school my whole life, so switching between English and French has always been second nature to me. Everyone who knows me describes me as extremely patient, a quality I developed after struggling with ADHD and dyslexia as a kid. Those experiences taught me how important encouragement and clear explanations can be. One of my greatest inspirations was actually my own French tutor, who showed me how empowering good teaching can be. I bring that same supportive energy to my lessons today, meeting every student at their level and helping them feel capable and confident.

I tailor each session to your goals, whether you’re preparing for the DELF/DALF exams, improving your academic French, or perfecting everyday conversation. My methodology balances structure with spontaneity, using real-world materials and creative exercises so you progress naturally and enjoy the process. I’m also happy to go through your homework and assignments with you, making sure you understand every step instead of just memorizing. My goal is to make French (or English) feel practical, personal, and enjoyable.
