About Alexis
Through my own personal educational experiences I have learned how important it is to put your best foot forward in every class no matter how difficult it is or if it is your favorite subject. I have spent ample time learning how to approach science subjects and make them less intimidating throughout my college career and continuing on into my graduate program. I also really enjoy finding ways to incorporate a student's interest into my lessons. I have also learned the importance of language repetition and familiarity through my time learning and teaching Spanish.

I like to tailor my lessons to spark student's interest and ensure that they are learning the content that is needed while making the work approachable and enjoyable. A typical lesson ranges from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the need and the level of the student.
I have worked with a wide range of ages and levels in biology, chemistry and Spanish. My most recent experience has been with elementary students who attended a bilingual school and wanted to continue practicing their Spanish. I also have helped middle school and high schoolers with their science courses all the way to being part of the developmental biology teaching team in my undergraduate career.
