As a tutor specializing in Microsoft Office programs, my approach is built on a foundation of personalization, practical application, and continuous support. I mainly help adults in transition that may not have worked on computers in prior employment and now in positions that require more computer knowledge. I help bridge that gap.
Here’s how I share my knowledge across Windows, MS Office products, Google products, and anything to help increase production and understanding of the internet and web-based applications:
Understanding Individual Needs: I begin by assessing each student's current skill level and objectives. Whether the goal is to master basic functionalities or to delve into advanced features for professional use, understanding these needs allows me to tailor lessons effectively.
Structured Yet Flexible Curriculum: My curriculum is structured to cover essential features of each program, yet flexible enough to adapt to the learner's pace and interests. This ensures a comprehensive understanding of each application's capabilities.
Hands-On Learning: I emphasize practical exercises that simulate real-world scenarios. For Excel, this might mean creating complex formulas and pivot tables. In Word, it could involve document formatting and template creation. With Outlook, we focus on email management and calendar organization, whereas in PowerPoint, we work on persuasive presentation skills.
