About Tanya

Hello!

It's nice to meet you. I am Tanya - a 25 year old, Indian Indonesian girl who is just trying to keep life interesting.

I work a 9-5 to pay the bills , channel my ambition and grow in my career. I teach.. for fun. I love teaching, always have. I have been teaching since the 6th grade, starting with younger kids in public schools and then eventually graduating to TA-ing university students who would rather be anywhere else but listening to a 20 something year old ramble.

But hey, I get it - the time pressure, the piles of academic papers you have to finish, the 20 midterms you have to study for - its all too much. I am here to break it down for you, make econ a little easier to digest and put economics into context because that makes it so much easier to read, understand and care about the words on the textbook.

I don't claim to know everything but I promise all my students that if I don't know something, I will tell you and make sure to get back to you with an explanation within the next 24 hours.

About the lesson

Lessons looks different for every student - some want help with homework, some want to walk through the textbook with me, some just need a little help with some key concepts and some people just want to chat about econ and understand their textbook notes in a real world context.

Perfect! Tanya was very accommodating about what I needed. Our in-person session didn't go as smoothly as it could have (due to communication errors on my end) but she did some extra work outside of our session to give me the help I needed. Felt like I got my money's worth - would totally recommend!

Tanya is a very genuine individual and places are high value on delivering true impact. Teaching for Tanya has always been a passion, not a job and frequently used to volunteer to teach local students in her hometown in Indonesia. That is how I met Tanya has she used to tutor my daughter.

Tanya identified learning strengths in her and was able to take her from a 60% grade Point average to over 90%. She ended up graduating top of her class, and that really helped our family as my daughter was able to get a scholarship to go to university. Tanya did all of this free of charge has been like an elder sister to my daughter.
