About Preston

My teaching approach blends solid guitar fundamentals with modern music production basics to help you grow as a complete musician. We focus on building strong technique, whether you prefer fingerstyle or classical styles, while exploring creative tools like loop layering and recording. Improvisation is a key part of my lessons. I guide you to develop a smooth, natural flow so you can express yourself freely. We also work on stage-style playing to build your confidence and presence during live performances. I tailor lessons to fit your individual goals and skill level, whether you want to master intricate fingerpicking or refine classical pieces. Alongside guitar skills, I introduce basics of music production to help you create full, rich sounds using loop pedals and digital tools. My goal is to support you in becoming both a skilled player and a creative artist. Lessons are practical, engaging, and designed to inspire your musical journey. Together, we’ll unlock your potential and bring your music to life.

I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance, which gives me a strong foundation in both theory and technique. My teaching style combines classic instruction with the exciting world of digital tools like DAWs, loop pedals, and recording techniques.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced player, I tailor lessons to your goals and skill level. I focus not only on playing but also on helping you become a confident performer and creative music-maker. Using technology, we explore new ways to compose, improvise, and produce your own sound.
