About JIALI

Hello! I’m MAI, your Mandarin teacher — someone who truly enjoys teaching, cares about my students, and loves helping people grow through language learning. I hold a Master’s degree from USM (Universiti Sains Malaysia) and have three years of solid experience teaching Mandarin both online and in person. Over the years, I’ve taught learners of different ages, backgrounds, and nationalities. Through these experiences, I’ve found many effective and practical ways to help students actually use the Chinese they learn. Whether you are a complete beginner, a parent looking for a patient and friendly teacher for your child, or an adult hoping to improve your speaking skills, communicate better at work, or prepare for the HSK exam, I will create a lesson plan that fits your goals and pace. I’m originally from China, so I speak with an authentic Mainland Chinese accent. I will help you build a strong pronunciation foundation and guide you step by step to improve your tones and speaking confidence. I’m also good at breaking down grammar in a simple, clear, and enjoyable way — no stress, no pressure, just steady progress. Many students worry at first: “Am I learning too slowly?” “Can I really do this?” Don’t worry — my classes are relaxed, encouraging, and beginner-friendly. I’ll support you patiently, celebrate your progress, and help you enjoy the learning process rather than feeling stressed by it. If you’re a parent, I can also create fun, game-based lessons that make it easy for kids to stay engaged and naturally pick up the language.
