About Simone

I have spent the majority of my adult life in servitude to others. This is what has allowed me to not only excel professionally, but personally as well. Life has been challenging for me but through proper supports, I was able to persevere. In my leisure time, I develop curriculum emphasizing relationship building and self-esteem enhancement, with my latest venture being Equine therapy materials. My passions align with the supports I saw in my life. I enjoy seeing others thrive. On a personal level, my cup is filled through giving back, spending time with those I love, meeting new people, and laughing at a good joke.

About the lesson

I am grateful for the opportunity to be considered as your tutor. I am a Master's level Social Worker, presently providing therapy to justice-involved youth aged 12-20, assisting them on their journey of self-discovery and development. My experience in service work and teaching spans over eight years. Initially, I pursued a degree in elementary education, driven by my first love—teaching. However, I felt a compelling call to social work that could not be ignored. I hold an undergraduate degree and a certification in trauma-informed practices, equipping me to approach therapy with both evidence-based models and practical experiences. Prior to my current role in behavioral health, I dedicated five years to early childhood teaching and three years as a teaching assistant, nurturing young minds from birth to age eight. Today, I provide therapy in both group and individual settings. Much like in therapy, teaching flourishes with a personalized approach complemented by student participation. Those selecting me as their tutor can expect to have a direct hand in their learning. My diverse background is dedicated to helping others excel in their journeys.
