I believe mathematics becomes simple and interesting once students understand the logic behind it. My goal is to make every concept clear, build strong foundations, and help students develop genuine confidence in solving problems. I focus on understanding, not memorization, and explain every topic in a way that connects easily with real-life examples.

My teaching method is structured yet flexible. I usually begin by introducing the concept in simple terms, followed by guided examples where students learn by doing. Once they feel comfortable, I encourage independent problem-solving to strengthen understanding. Each lesson ends with a quick review and discussion to ensure all doubts are cleared before moving forward.

What sets my lessons apart is my patient, engaging, and personalized approach. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s pace and learning needs, ensuring consistent improvement and a stress-free learning experience.

My lessons are suitable for O-Level, A-Level, college, and university students who want to master Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, or Calculus, improve exam performance, or simply build a stronger command of mathematics.

  • 1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

My interest in mathematics and programming started during my school years. I always enjoyed solving problems and finding different ways to reach the right answer. At university, I began helping classmates who were struggling with their coursework, and I realized how much I enjoyed explaining difficult concepts in a simple way. That experience encouraged me to start private tutoring. Since then, teaching has become more than just a job for me. I genuinely enjoy helping students become more confident and independent learners.
  • 2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students and possibly those you like a little less.

I mainly teach mathematics, computer science, and programming. I enjoy showing students how these subjects connect to real life instead of being just theory from a textbook. In mathematics, I like topics such as algebra, calculus, and problem solving. In programming, I enjoy teaching Python, Java, JavaScript, data structures, and web development because students can immediately see the results of what they create. The only part I enjoy a little less is when students try to memorize everything without understanding the concepts. I always encourage them to think logically because that skill stays with them long after the lesson is over.
  • 3) Did you have any role models or a teacher that inspired you?

Yes. I was fortunate to have a mathematics teacher Dr.Barry who never focused only on getting the correct answer. He always asked us to explain our thinking and encouraged us to ask questions without feeling embarrassed. That approach had a lasting impact on me. It taught me that a good teacher builds confidence as much as knowledge, and I try to create the same atmosphere for my own students.
  • 4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

A good tutor needs patience, clear communication, and the ability to understand that every student learns differently. Listening is just as important as explaining. Students should feel comfortable asking questions, even if they think the question is simple. I also believe consistency and encouragement are important because learning takes time, and every small improvement deserves recognition.
  • 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

I remember helping a student who believed programming was simply too difficult for them. During our first lesson, they were afraid of making mistakes and often stopped after seeing an error message. We spent time understanding what each error actually meant instead of avoiding it. After a few weeks, they completed a project entirely on their own. The smile on their face reminded me that confidence can change a student's entire learning experience. That moment is one of the reasons I continue teaching.
  • 6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or are still facing in your subject?

Like many students, I found some advanced mathematical concepts and programming topics challenging at first. There were times when I spent hours trying to understand a single problem or fix one small coding mistake. Those experiences taught me that persistence is more valuable than talent. Even today, technology continues to evolve, so I keep learning new tools and techniques to improve my knowledge and provide better lessons for my students.
  • 7) Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

Teaching is definitely one of my biggest passions because I enjoy seeing students achieve goals they once thought were impossible. I also enjoy building software and exploring new technologies. Creating projects allows me to bring practical examples into my lessons, making learning more interesting and relevant for my students.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof besides answering this interview?

I believe what makes me a Superprof is my commitment to every student's progress. I take the time to understand their strengths, challenges, and goals before planning each lesson. I explain concepts in different ways until they make sense, and I always encourage students to think for themselves rather than simply giving them answers. Seeing my students become confident and successful is the most rewarding part of being a tutor, and that is what motivates me every day.
