About Hannah
Hi, I’m Hannah and I’m a recent graduate with a masters in maths so I’ve done quite a lot of maths in my time. I’ve also done a lot of academic and peer mentoring stuff - this year I mentored a group of first year university students and I mentored a girl through her first year uni maths exams so I’m well experienced with providing both academic and non-academic support. Most importantly I understand that maths can be really intimidating and hard - I don’t think it’s all easy and often I’ve needed help from other people to get my head round it. I’m committed to helping you do the best you can and I’m very friendly I promise!

Depending on what you’d like we will have a chat about specific areas you’d like to work on and do a baseline assessment to get a grasp of where we are in terms of the syllabus content. I’m not here to make you do 100s of questions that you already know how to do but we’ll do lots of worked examples, lots of specific tailored exam questions and what we focus on will be directed by your personal needs. We’ll have a chat about expectations which may include some homework if that would work for you. If so I’ll mark the homework before our session and we’ll spend some time in the lesson going through it and then practising some of the techniques involved.
