I love working with beginners as much as advanced players, and my goal is to make bassoon as easy and accessible as possible.
I offer high-quality online lessons using a professional microphone and a desktop computer, and can provide lessons in person in the San Marcos/Austin area.
My specialties are starting beginners, increasing skills in band and orchestra, and making reed adjustments. All my students have access to my comprehensive library of bassoon exercises, solo music and parts.
Review
All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by students with Lee.
Perfect! I was hesitant to write a review because I feared people would fill up Lee’s schedule and there wouldn’t be time slots for my 7th grader!
Lee started tutoring my very shy/introverted daughter less than a year ago. My daughter had only been playing bassoon for a few months when we found Lee. Lee is an astounding teacher/tutor. She’s able to “reach” through the screen and connect with my daughter seamlessly. Because of Lee’s guidance, my daughter has learned bassoon so well, that she earned placements in an all-area honors orchestra and an elite youth orchestra! She also beat out high schoolers with years more experience in both orchestras for high seat numbers. And she only started on bassoon a year ago. Her skills and confidence are testament to Lee’s oversight and direction as her teacher/tutor.
Kudos to Lee. She also provides extra learning, videos, and more to supplement the lessons. If you’re looking for a bassoon tutor, you won’t find one better than Lee.- Great meeting Diane and Darla, excellent playing! Looking forward to more lessons :)Lee's response :
Perfect! Patient and knowledgeable.
- It's always great to meet with a beginning bassoonist! Hope to see you again soon :)Lee's response :

- It was a pleasure meeting Frederick and I look forward to working with him :)Lee's response :

I did on line lessons with Lee. I picked her because of her credentials originally, but in lessons her thorough knowledge and patient attitude really made her my best musical instrument teacher. Bassoon is difficult, and she always provided challenge and support at an appropriate level to help me achieve. Eventually she flew to my island so we could play together! And stayed in my house. She is trustworthy and good at what she does.
Lee has a wide variety of experiences on different instruments and styles.
She’s super patient and has helped me learn many songsfantastic teacher. dont think i would have been able to pick up guitar without her help
I have seen Lee perform at Nashville's acclaimed Bluebird Cafe and she is a consummate guitarist and all-around musician. She is very personable and compassionate. She can convey information in a meaningful way that others respond to well.
Lee is an excellent music teacher. She has helped me get past my utter lack of confidence in my musical ability. After a year of guitar lessons with her patience and guidance I'm having fun and have gained the confidence to progress much further. I take both online and home lessons from her. I highly recommend her at all levels.
