About Candace
Being in music school was the happiest time in my life. I love not only playing the piano and singing but love all aspects of music--music history and literature as well as music theory and composition. My Master's degree is in music composition. I'm a very friendly and organized teacher and like to think that my students like me due to my sense of humor and desire to see them have fun. I am equally passionate about Literature and have many graded credits--almost equaling a Bachelor's in English. I am a published poet and my love for writing is on the same level as my love for music.

Piano lessons for beginners to advanced intermediate. I teach reading music but also explore composition and playing by ear. I have over 35 years of experience and am also an organist. I am also highly skilled in English and can tutor in English and Literature. Typical lesson plan for piano lessons: Go over new music learned for the week; go over theory book; assign and explain new material; improvisation and composition on keyboard. In English, work on reading comprehension and writing skills. Assignments given. Go through assigned material thoroughly.
