About Lacey
"Teaching singing is my way of connecting with others through the mechanics of sound. It is an honest confession that I find the physical nature of vocal production fascinating. After 13 years of guiding people from absolute beginners to those prepping for high-level exams, I see how individual the process really is.
My approach relies on building a foundation of tone and resonance alongside breathing control. We spend time on warm-up exercises that protect vocal health and care for the instrument over time.
This keeps the work sustainable while we move through rhythm and phrasing, vocal range extension, and even belting technique. Diction and articulation are just as vital as performance confidence when we prepare for exams. I simply enjoy finding the specific way each student learns best."

"Starting with a free trial lesson to check range and goals is how I get to know your voice. It is an honest confession that I am always curious to hear what a new student brings to the room.
My Master of Music from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music informs how I structure these 9 steps of development. We look at your specific goals during this first meeting.
I integrate my technical knowledge of anatomy and sound production here. We check your current vocal habits and map out a path for your growth.
I make sure to balance the technical aspects with the musicality of the pieces you want to sing. There is no rush to finish the work within the hour. Everything stays open and clear until we reach a point where things feel right."
