About Charla
Singing became my life during those 13 years of teaching as I moved from initial curiosity to formal study. Developing technique requires a methodical focus on the breath and the body. I work regularly with absolute beginners, grade exam candidates, and hobbyists who seek clear guidance. My approach balances discipline with the joy of discovery.
Watching a student find their resonance is truly rewarding. It is satisfying to see someone gain confidence in their own voice. I enjoy helping people connect with the music they love. Teaching remains a highlight of my week.

Singing involves physical coordination. Clarity defines the path to improvement. I incorporate diction, articulation, and resonance exercises into our work together.
We will explore sight singing, harmony, and rhythm to broaden your musicality. My background from the New England Conservatory informs how I explain head and chest voice mechanics. Performance recordings are reviewed together each month to track your personal progress.
Stage fear management is integrated to build your presence. These sessions provide a structured space for growth. You will find that regular practice creates a genuine sense of accomplishment.
