About Nichelle

Do you find yourself wondering how to balance complex technique with the simple joy of playing music? After 10 years of experience and earning my Master of Music in Piano Performance from Berklee College of Music, I emphasize a concept first approach to ensure students handle pop and contemporary styles with ease. Integrating dynamics and expression into every piece allows for a richer sound that reflects your unique musical voice.

Sight transposition and scales and arpeggios form the technical foundation that supports your growth. Developing strong memorization techniques and accompaniment skills helps you perform confidently within a single term. Playing music should remain a deeply rewarding and fun pursuit throughout your musical journey.

About the lesson

Your fingers press the first keys as we begin to build a custom sheet music arrangement for your favorite song. My degree from Berklee College of Music informs how I break down complex concepts into manageable steps.

Dynamics and expression receive focus during the very first phase. We address sight transposition immediately to build your reading speed.

Scales and arpeggios provide the structural integrity for your technique. Memorization techniques keep your performance fluid.

Accompaniment skills emerge naturally from our work on pop and contemporary pieces. You experience a 6.0 level of focused attention throughout our time together. My approach keeps our practice sessions grounded in clarity rather than pressure.
