About Diann
Sitting in the practice room at Eastman after a long day of rehearsals remains my favorite memory from my formative years. Teaching students for 12 years has shown me that the bridge between a nervous beginner and a stage performer is built on patience and consistent technique. Mastery over blues progressions and electric technique requires a steady hand, while reading tabs and mastering barre chords demands a clear sense of order.
My songwriting process is grounded in the fundamentals I honed throughout my degree. I am here to help you find your voice.

Pacing is the most important element when introducing complex musical concepts to someone starting from scratch. Feedback is provided immediately during our time together to ensure that small errors do not become permanent habits in your playing style.
We will spend 8 lessons exploring your interests while ensuring that you possess the technical foundation for any genre. You will receive free chord charts and tab sheets shared after each class to keep your progress moving forward.
My 12 years of experience informs how I guide you through these materials. Expect a balanced approach that respects your time and effort. I enjoy the process of watching a student grow at their own speed.
