About Lars
I have dedicated eighteen years to the craft of mathematics education helping more than 780 students achieve academic success and intellectual growth. My qualifications include a doctoral degree in mathematics and a postgraduate teaching credential from a prestigious university. I have held positions as a head of mathematics department examination marker and curriculum developer giving me deep insight into how assessments are constructed and how students can best prepare for them. My teaching career has spanned multiple countries and educational systems including IB A-level AP and university foundation courses. Many of my former students now work in quantitative finance engineering academia and data science. I am respected by students and colleagues alike for my encyclopedic subject knowledge my patience and my ability to explain even the most abstract concepts clearly. I have authored several mathematics textbooks and examination practice guides. In my personal time I enjoy mathematical puzzles classical music and mentoring early-career teachers. I believe that mathematics is the highest form of human reasoning and I consider it a privilege to introduce young minds to its depths.

With nearly two decades of teaching experience I have refined a method that combines classical rigor with modern pedagogical insights. My approach is fundamentally diagnostic identifying the precise conceptual gaps that limit each student's progress. For pure mathematics I emphasize proof structure logical deduction and the beauty of mathematical abstraction teaching students to appreciate mathematics as a creative discipline. Applied mathematics is taught through modeling exercises where students translate real-world scenarios into mathematical form solve them and interpret results critically. I use technology strategically including computer algebra systems graphing tools and dynamic geometry software to enhance understanding without replacing mathematical thinking. Calculus is taught through the fundamental themes of limits change and accumulation with extensive use of graphical and numerical approaches alongside analytical methods. I teach students to write mathematics with clarity and precision an essential skill for university-level work. Every lesson includes challenging problems that stretch students beyond their comfort zone followed by collaborative discussion of multiple solution strategies. For exam preparation I provide comprehensive coverage of common question types with emphasis on avoiding common errors and managing time effectively.
