About Ammar

I am a multidisciplinary educator, researcher, engineer, trainer, and consultant with more than 25 years of experience in teaching, professional training, consulting, project work, and applied problem solving.
My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, and a PhD in Knowledge Management and Artificial Intelligence. This combination allows me to connect technical execution, information systems, management, analytics, organizational thinking, and strategic decision making.
Over the years, I have completed hundreds of engineering and technical projects, supported professionals and organizations, and supervised or assisted hundreds of university students working on projects, theses, and dissertations.
For project management specifically, I bring more than 25 years of experience connecting planning and scheduling with engineering execution, management systems, business needs, risk, stakeholders, organizational priorities, and practical software tools. I teach Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project as decision-support environments - not as isolated button sequences.
I teach in English, French, and Arabic and adapt my explanations to the learner’s industry, academic level, professional role, software environment, and immediate project objectives.

About the lesson

Project management becomes clear when every technique is connected to a decision: What value are we trying to create? What must be delivered? Who is affected? What work is required? In what sequence? With which resources? What could go wrong? How will we know whether the project is still under control?
I support university and graduate students, MBA learners, aspiring project professionals, engineers, managers, planners, coordinators, analysts, and experienced professionals who want to strengthen project-management reasoning or master practical planning and scheduling tools.
Depending on your goals, we can work on:
• Project-management foundations: project versus operations; project, program, and portfolio distinctions; life cycles; governance; roles; constraints; assumptions; and decision rights
• Value delivery and business alignment: business case, objectives, expected benefits, strategic fit, success criteria, outcomes, and value-based decision making
• Predictive, agile, and hybrid delivery: understanding when each approach fits, how to tailor methods, and how to combine practices without reducing agility to ceremonies or predictive planning to paperwork
• Project initiation: charter logic, objectives, high-level scope, stakeholders, assumptions, constraints, risks, governance, and authorization
• Requirements and business analysis: stakeholder needs, problem definition, elicitation, prioritization, acceptance logic, traceability, process understanding, and alignment between business need and project output
• Scope management: deliverables, boundaries, inclusions/exclusions, product versus project scope, decomposition, scope baseline, and change discipline
• Work Breakdown Structure (WBS): building a complete, non-overlapping decomposition that supports estimating, ownership, scheduling, budgeting, and control
• Schedule development: activities, sequencing, dependencies, network logic, milestones, leads/lags, calendars, constraints, and realistic scheduling assumptions
• Critical Path Method (CPM): forward/backward pass logic, early/late dates, total and free float, critical paths, near-critical paths, and schedule sensitivity
• Resource planning: roles, capacity, calendars, assignments, overallocations, resource smoothing/leveling, productivity assumptions, and trade-offs
• Cost and performance control: estimating, budgeting, baselines, variance reasoning, forecasting, earned-value foundations, and interpretation of project performance
• Risk and uncertainty: identification, analysis, prioritization, owners, responses, contingencies, triggers, reserves, assumptions, and risk-informed decisions
• Stakeholder and communication management: influence, expectations, engagement strategies, communication needs, escalation, governance forums, and decision transparency
• Quality, procurement, and change: fit-for-purpose quality, supplier interfaces, procurement logic, integrated change control, configuration discipline, and impact assessment
• Monitoring and control: status logic, baselines, actuals, progress measurement, variance analysis, forecasts, corrective/preventive actions, issue management, and lessons learned
• Primavera P6: EPS/WBS concepts, activities, relationships, calendars, constraints, scheduling, baselines, resources, progress updates, critical path, filters, layouts, and schedule analysis
• Microsoft Project: task structure, dependencies, calendars, milestones, critical path, baselines, resources, tracking, views, reports, and schedule troubleshooting
• Project controls and planning practice: schedule quality, baseline discipline, progress updates, recovery reasoning, delay awareness, look-ahead planning, and management reporting
• PMBOK-aligned modern practice: principles, performance domains/focus areas, value delivery, tailoring, adaptability, accountability, and practical application rather than memorization
• PMP/CAPM-oriented conceptual support when requested: understanding scenario logic, ways of working, value, people, process, and business-environment reasoning - without presenting the service as official PMI training
• Business acumen for project professionals: linking delivery decisions to organizational goals, benefits, trade-offs, commercial context, and strategic outcomes
• Responsible AI-assisted project work: using AI tools, when permitted, to support brainstorming, risk identification, meeting summaries, draft communications, scenario exploration, and knowledge retrieval while validating outputs and protecting confidential information
• Academic course and assignment support: learning the concepts, planning the approach, reviewing your reasoning, and correcting misunderstandings without completing assessed work on your behalf
• Real-project mentoring: applying project-management methods to an actual initiative, schedule, WBS, risk register, stakeholder problem, or planning challenge while preserving the learner’s ownership and professional responsibility
My teaching method is example-based and diagnostic. We begin with your actual objective, current level, course, project context, software file, or professional challenge. I then identify the conceptual gaps, build a clear model of the problem, demonstrate the logic, and guide you through increasingly independent application.
The goal is not simply to click buttons in Primavera or Microsoft Project. You should understand why the schedule behaves as it does, what the data means, which assumptions are driving the result, and how to defend your project decisions.
