About Yanni
During my graduate studies, I was a Teaching Assistant for Organic Chemistry I and II Labs; instructing students not only in laboratory skills but also in organic chemistry concepts relevant to lecture. My graduate background in general chemistry affords me the knowledge base to help you not only with organic chemistry, but also general chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, and inorganic chemistry.

My lessons are suitable for both the high school and undergraduate college level. I have 5 years of experience working with undergraduate students in Organic Chemistry I and II. I am a recent graduate, having earned a Master of Science in Chemistry. My research focus was on organic synthesis, making me an ideal tutor for not only organic chemistry as a whole but specifically in regard to chemical synthesis and reaction mechanisms. Typical lesson plans under me vary from student to student, as I believe each student learns differently. Rather than first addressing what you don't know, I want to focus on what you do know and understand, and build upon that. Chemistry is a field of study that builds upon itself, and so it is best learned by starting at a familiar point before expanding to the more difficult concepts.
