About Toru

I hold a Master of Science in Computer Science and have more than 17 years of professional experience in software development, IT consulting, and scientific research. For over 10 years, I have also taught and mentored undergraduate students at Massachusetts General Hospital, helping them learn programming, research computing, and problem-solving skills.

My expertise includes Python, C/C++, machine learning, deep learning, image processing, and high-performance computing. I combine real-world industry experience with a patient, structured teaching approach, tailoring each lesson to the student's goals and experience level. Whether you are a beginner learning Python or an advanced student working on machine learning or research projects, I am committed to helping you build confidence, strengthen your technical skills, and achieve your learning objectives.

About the lesson

Because I have been teaching and supporting undergraduate students for over 10 years at a scientific laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital, I have developed a patient and practical approach to tutoring. I explain concepts step by step, adapt my teaching style to each student's level, and encourage questions to ensure they fully understand the material.

In addition to software development, I have extensive knowledge of computer hardware and high-performance computing systems. This allows me to teach not only programming concepts but also how software interacts with hardware, helping students gain a deeper understanding of real-world computing environments. My goal is to build students' confidence and help them develop the skills to solve problems independently.
