About Kiana

It's no secret that I love programming!

I hold MASc. degree in Applied Mathematics from the Amirkabir University of Tehran, Iran. During my thesis, I worked on an Appearance-Based face recognition model using MATLAB software.

Currently, I’m a student at Concordia University in Canada in the Center for Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence. I'm working on Computerized Facial Beauty by Pattern Recognition and Image Processing techniques as of my master's thesis.

The lessons I teach use Python and Matlab to teach programming fundamentals and more. In the beginning, it might seem intimidating, but once you give it a shot, you will be so glad you did.

Many excellent tutorials are available online for free. I believe that it is better to have an interactive relationship to learn, and only self-learning does not always give the desired result. So I will be with you in this matter so that I can share my information with others and make the initial move to start together.

About the lesson

Students must love the material and understand it in order for the course to be efficient.

We present some points on PowerPoint while also writing codes and commands in Matlab or Python to explore the topic in greater detail. This has proven successful in teaching computer programming to people of all ages. This is why I have interactive classes.

The first thing I'd like to do is give you a few tips and explain some basic concepts. It's then time to put what you learned into practice. Through outside and in-class practice, you will learn how to apply methods to your code. Unlike other courses, we won't memorize Python syntax. Programmer thinking skills are one of the things I teach you. My classes will prepare you to learn any language with any syntax after I'm done teaching you.

Furthermore, I always aim to provide support and encouragement to my students, encourage their self-esteem, attract them to computer science topics, and create a friendly environment where students can seek and receive help from me.

Students at the university level are my main focus. I enjoy teaching high school students and anyone with an interest in computers, especially those who are just entering the computer science field.
