About Dorottya

My name is Dorottya Balla and I was born in Pecs, Hungary. After graduating high school, I got
a full scholarship to play division I basketball in the United States of America. In the states I
have studied psychology with a minor of international business, where I was able to get myself
involved with a variety of projects. From coming up with innovative ideas to be implemented
into a development of deprived areas to be able to coordinate events and to be a research
assistant, I have become more and more passionate about workplace employment.
I have been a team a captain almost throughout my whole career in Hungary and in the United
States, I always put others first. I was also part of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee
where I represented my team’s concerns about the rules and regulations within the National
Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). I have learnt how to adjust to a fast-pace working
environment through commitment and discipline.
As a research assistant for the Dean of Institutional Research, I have been involved with
administering data, conducting research, as well as implement strategies and assessments to
retain students.
I have gained excellent communication skills through representing my teams to National Boards
as well as I had demonstrated and designed new curriculums at my university in the United
States. Additionally, I have presented many business cases to different CEOs, executives, where
we produced innovative ideas to build up different organizational foundations. I have gained
leadership skills and style through my basketball career, where I was a team captain at a Division
I college, as well as in the Hungarian National team. Also, I was a leader and representative for
many projects inside and outside of my school.

I would be beyond excited to teach english and to learn from one another.

About the lesson

My teaching method involves a lot of interactions to get to know the other party on the professional level. Also, I would give out study materials and case studies which will be further discussed along the teaching hours. I would also provide additional materials to improve business communication.
