About Jonathan

I am a master student of theoretical physics at the KUL. This choice is a direct result of a great amazement for nature, the desire to understand it all, and of course the pleasure of the search. My passion for mathematics and physics used to regularly lead to a "and now about something else" at the kitchen table. I see converting that energy into tutoring as an ideal win-win.

I am passionate about nature and the language in which its laws are written, mathematics. I like to teach in an informal way where the student feels free to ask a question or interrupt at any time.
I personally find the conceptual very important and try to give as much intuition as possible through exercises.

A lesson starts by looking at where the student stands and what he/she needs. In the event that the theory is rather difficult, we go over it together and make a clear diagram that makes the broad outline and central ideas of the material clear.
If I feel that the student is gradually becoming familiar with the theory, I quickly move on to doing exercises together.
In this way the student can think along and we see the
abstract ideas from the (dry ;) ) theory in action. Throughout the exercises, the insight into the theory is further deepened and we can note conceptual insights and points of interest.

I have the most experience coaching third-grade secondary students, but tutoring mathematics and physics at bachelor level are also perfectly possible.
