About Mary
I have been teaching for 40 years where the majority has been in a 4th and 5th grade class. For the last 18 years, I have been the technology teacher where I work with Kindergarten through 5th grade students incorporating computer science standards within their lessons. I believe in hands on and personalized learning to be an effective learner.

I originally graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in Secondary Education with PE and Health. After I finished my degree, I found myself in a private school teaching 5th grade. I realized then that I needed to go back and finish my elementary degree. I continued the courses and received my Masters of Education in 1981. Since that time, I have continued taking many classes in technology, science, math, and reading. I work with the after school program doing homework with the 2nd and 3rd graders.
