About Michael
My name is Michael, and I'm currently a rail train engineer with Great Western Railway, I have experience as a Master Technician with over 10 years of experience working in the automotive, aerospace and rail industries. Throughout my career I've worked for companies including Volkswagen, Tesla, Exeter Aerospace and Great Western Railway, and I'm currently studying for a BA (Hons) in Engineering.
I'm passionate about engineering and enjoy helping others develop their skills. During my career I've had the opportunity to mentor apprentices and technicians, and I've always found it rewarding to see someone gain confidence and understand something they previously struggled with.
This is my first time offering private tutoring, and I'm doing it because I want to help the next generation of technicians succeed. I know from experience that college work and apprenticeships can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you're trying to connect theory with what happens in the workshop. My goal is to make learning practical, easy to understand and relevant to the real world.

My sessions are relaxed, practical and tailored to your needs. Whether you're preparing for college exams, completing assignments or want to become a better technician in the workshop, I'm here to help.

I'm new to paid tutoring, but not to teaching. Throughout my career I've trained and mentored technicians and apprentices in the workplace. I'm now offering apprentice mechanics or engineering students one-to-one tutoring to help build their confidence and develop practical skills that they can use to succeed in their careers and qualification path.
