About Sarah
Discovering one’s musical voice is a thrilling journey, and I love guiding students along it. With Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music, I combine formal training, performance experience, and teaching expertise. Lessons start with posture, finger placement, chord transitions, strumming, rhythm, and tone, gradually progressing to improvisation, phrasing, and composition. Music theory is taught in practical ways, helping students connect concepts to the music they play. Each lesson is personalized to the student’s pace, goals, and style, fostering motivation and confidence. I emphasize both technical skill and expressive playing, encouraging students to communicate emotion through their instrument. Ear training, sight-reading, and performance exercises develop well-rounded musicianship. Students explore diverse genres, including classical, jazz, rock, blues, and pop, expanding musical versatility. Structured practice routines, feedback, and guidance help learners overcome challenges effectively. Milestones are celebrated to motivate students and acknowledge achievement. Creativity, improvisation, and composition are encouraged to develop a unique musical voice. Lessons balance discipline, technical mastery, and artistic freedom for effective learning. Over time, students gain proficiency, performance confidence, and expressive artistry. Teaching guitar is mentorship, inspiration, and guidance combined. My ultimate goal is to help students play creatively, authentically, and with confidence. Every lesson is an opportunity to cultivate skill, artistry, and lifelong love for music.

I teach with passion, patience, and purpose. With both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music, I’ve dedicated my career to helping students reach their fullest potential. My approach is holistic—focusing on technique, creativity, and emotional connection. I start by ensuring students develop a strong foundation in rhythm, chords, and scales.
As confidence grows, we explore improvisation, songwriting, and music interpretation. My lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s interests. I make theory simple and practical so that it enhances your understanding, not complicates it.
I also include listening and performance exercises to improve expression. My students learn to approach practice with focus and enjoyment. I emphasize consistency over perfection and progress over pressure. My teaching space is positive, encouraging, and full of energy. Seeing my students fall in love with their music is what keeps me passionate about teaching every day.
